Are you judging your physical appearance too much?
May 03, 2023𝗔𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱?
Is your body a point of contention for you?
Whether it’s your body size, mass, physical ailments, your eyes, ears, toes, nose, teeth, fingers, thighs or whatever...
Do you judge your physical appearance and how it feels more often than not?
Do you judge how you eat, what you eat, how much you have or haven’t exercised, do you spend a lot of time wondering how to make your body act differently and/or look differently?
Then I have a scenario for you to consider.
𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚.
𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚?
Nope, you cannot!
Living in fear of your body, believing it has it out for you means you are CONSTANTLY in a state of stress. Pumping out cortisol and increasing inflammation in your body.
You are creating a continual crisis loop within your body anytime you would typically judge your body: when you eat, get dressed, encounter a mirror, when you go to the restroom, etc.
It is time to switch out the beliefs that have you at war within your body leaving you feeling anxious and stressed (and those are just the tip of the iceberg of symptoms you are likely experiencing).
Is that easier said than done? Yes and no. On one hand you simply have to make peace with your body and let go of all the baggage that goes along with it. It can be the easiest thing in the world to surrender the war on your body.
On the other hand we have lived this way for so long it may take time to reprogram beliefs about your body. I mean society tells us daily we need to change to be considered valuable.
Either way it is a journey worth taking.
You owe yourself peace, joy, and contentment. You deserve to have a relationship with your body that revolves around love and respect. You deserve to feel focused and engaged in activities that bring you more fun without worrying about your body.
If you know that you want to have a peaceful relationship with your body (your whole self) but feel overwhelmed or just know you need support…
